If you’ve been reading our blog posts lately, you know that we here at CallSource are dedicated to helping your business thrive by keeping up on industry trends (such as how millennials are changing up the car-buying process), facilitating streamlined internal processes (like giving incentives to your employees), and other tips to better your business (such as how to build rapport with your customers).
It should come as no surprise that we have some tips for you through the holiday season as well. Below are 12 things that you should try out this holiday break.
1. Spend time with friends and family
Holidays are for coming together and spending quality time with the ones you love – try to avoid technology as much as possible for true moments in the here and now.
2. Drink eggnog
It’s a delicious milky treat that’s pretty much only acceptable to drink this time of year. Enjoy it!
3. Go sled riding (if weather permits)
Whether it be sledding, building a snowman, swimming in the ocean, hiking…whatever outdoor activity you can relish in for a few hours out of the day, go out and do.
4. Sleep in
You have some time off and deserve a break after a long, busy year – hit the snooze button for once!
5. Travel somewhere new
Take advantage of time away from the office to discover a new landscape you’ve been yearning to visit. You may come back to work afterward with new ideas and a new mindset.
6. Sing holiday songs around a piano
C’mon…I had to include something cheesy out of a Hallmark movie in here, of course!
7. Bake cookies
Or pies, or cakes, or maybe even a nice baked brie. Whatever you choose, get in the kitchen and arouse your palate with delectable holiday treats. ‘Tis the season!
8. Watch a movie by the fire
If you are fortunate enough to have a true fireplace in your home, take advantage of it. Get in some cozy PJ’s, light up the fire and enjoy a holiday classic in the living room.
9. Overindulge
With whatever it may be – just don’t make a habit of it.
10. Volunteer
Take your great working habits to benefit someone else. I promise it’ll feel great.
11. Take photos
I know I said try to have limited technology, but there are some moments that you’ll want to capture without the fading of memory.
12. Read a book
Unplug, unwind, and get lost in a new world other than this one.
Hey, I know I promised you some great tips…and I think I delivered.
The point is, enjoy some time off and enjoy the other things in life other than work.
Happy Holidays!
